Andar Bahar is one of the simplest casino games in the world: one card is turned face up, and you bet on which side will match it first.
The deal
The dealer reveals a joker card, then deals alternately to the Andar and Bahar piles until a card of the same rank appears. The pile that matches wins.
Why the two sides are not identical
The first card usually goes to one designated side, which gives it a marginally higher chance of matching first. Payouts are adjusted to reflect that difference.
Side bets
Live tables often add bets on how many cards will be dealt before a match. These carry a higher margin than the main bet.
Pace control
Rounds finish in seconds, so the number of decisions per hour is very high. Fewer, larger-considered bets beat continuous small ones.
